Cross-legged,
face through the window to the
southern sky-
lips free from complaints,
vital information from my
“genius” stilled.
Wait for my Father’s answer-
in tsunami wave or whisper.
His blessings, sitting on a worn ivory sheet on our
deck,
my 2 year old with coppery hair,
oversized sunglasses (her dad’s)
and the flowered cotton white and purple dress we threw
on because it is easier than picking a two-piece
outfit,
while we eat triangle peanut butter and jelly and
cherry kool-aid.
These are
PROFOUND moments
of learning and hearing.
Beautiful!
