The average consumer bases their health treatments ENTIRELY on their family physician’s recommendations. Whether these doctors are medical physicians, chiropractic physicians, naturopathic physicians or osteopathic physicians their is GOOD REASON to question the wisdom in this accepted practice. First, I truly believe most doctors (in every discipline) perform their services with the BEST INTENTIONS. Unfortunately, doctors (because of busy schedules) rely on research and information provided them. They assume this information is credible and honest and, in turn, follow the protocols established by their guidelines. The consumer then follows their doctor’s instructions believing their knowledge accurately addresses their health needs. The problem with this hierarchy of TRUST includes:
the limited TRANSPARENCY of disclosure
the limited (if not absent) INDEPENDENT ANALYSIS.
